Recycling takes place at Rock Bridge Community Church at 906 Curtis Parkway in Calhoun from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers are always needed to work on Recycling Day.
Gordon County residents can get rid of unwanted tires, electronics (no TVs or those big ancient computer monitors), tennis shoes, and much more, for free, at our spring recycling event. We will also shred documents. And there will be a place to donate blood. This is our semi-annual, community-wide event to properly recycle and dispose of unused or unwanted household products. Items being accepted include:
Soft plastics and films
Hard plastics with or without numbers
Plastic flower pots
Computer towers
Batteries and tools containing batteries (please tape battery terminals)
Electronics (no big, huge TVs or ancient computer monitors - sorry!)
New or used tennis shoes

Eye glasses

Canned and non-perishable food items
Donations will be accepted and are accepted via our secure website right now.
