Spring 2022 Recycling

We have set the date for our Spring 2022 recycling event - April 9! Recycling takes place at Rock Bridge Community Church at 906 Curtis Parkway in Calhoun from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Gordon County residents can get rid of unwanted tires, electronics (no TVs or those big ancient computer monitors), tennis shoes, and much more, for free, at our spring recycling event. We will also shred documents. And there will be a place to donate blood. This is our semi-annual, community-wide event to properly recycle and dispose of unused or unwanted household products. Items being accepted include:

  • Soft plastics and films

  • Hard plastics with or without numbers

  • Plastic flower pots

  • Computer towers

  • Batteries and tools containing batteries (please tape battery terminals)

  • Electronics (no big, huge TVs or ancient computer monitors - sorry!)

  • New or used tennis shoes

  • Paper shredding (Limit 5 boxes per household. This offer isn’t for businesses.)

  • Eye glasses

  • Tires (Limit 5 per household. This offer isn’t for businesses.)

  • Canned and non-perishable food items

Donations will be accepted and are accepted via our secure website right now.
