Gordon County residents can get rid of unwanted paint, tennis shoes, and much more, for free, at our Fall Recycling event. We will also shred documents. This is our semi-annual, community-wide event to properly recycle and dispose of unused or unwanted household products that contain hazardous waste. Items being accepted include:

• Soft plastics and films

• Hard plastics with or without numbers

• Plastic flower pots

• Flat screen monitors (we are not accepting monitors at this event.)

• Computer towers (we are not accepting computers at this event.)

• Batteries and tools containing batteries (please tape battery terminals)

• Electronics (we are not accepting electronics at this event.)

• Latex and oil-based paints and stains

• Expired or unused medications (we are not accepting medications at this event.)

• New or used tennis shoes

• Paper shedding

• Eye glasses
